A series of pen plots created by freezing curated moments of a fluid simulation.

This is part of an ongoing exploration of how to apply fluid simulations into my work. The series of pieces were created by taking stills of a custom openFrameworks fluid simulation system. The parameters were finely tuned to work with the width of pen with each piece containing somewhere between 10,000 - 25,000 strokes.

The stills were chosen based on the amount of motion they continued to convey after rendering the fluid simulation inert.
