Short piece I composed for Sara Robert's Readers Chorus. As I grew up with a stutter, I wanted to create a piece that reflected the moment of social anxiety and physical tension that occurs when you meet someone for the first time. In the score, a reader is only to say the part of the word that is inside the box; the interpretation of that direction is left up to the reader. The piece can be for a variety of arrangements, as long as there is an equal amount of readers per part.
