Rthk

A 3D printed wall sculpture (that doubles as an acoustic wall panel). In the vein of Rostftko, Rthk was created using the image properties of a Mark Rothko painting. A reduced data matrix was created from the original image; the brightness of each pixel translating to the width and height of each individual cube.
A Python script translated the original image directly into a set of twenty STL files, which were then printed on a heavily customized Maker Select 3D printer.
