You Can’t Compete With the Stars

You Can't Compete With The Stars is a site specific 32-channel Wave Field Synthesis installation in the high desert.
Listeners are invited to lay on a tarp and stare at the stars while sound holograms burst above their head. The two viewpoints in the video demonstrate how the sound holograms are localized when listening inside the boundaries of the speaker array.
This installation was created for the High Desert Soundings festival in 29 Palms, CA.
